This Logistics Consultant will help FEC to diagnose and design best-in-class logistical services using the FEC Railway’s fast, safe and efficient railroad network within Florida. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of transportation and logistics, creativity, keen problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work with logistics personnel at every level. This is a Junior Accoutant position with responsibility in the Financial Accounting area of the company’s operations. This position will be responsible for weekly and monthly processing of accounting tasks for the company with a concentration in general ledger. The position will involve communication and coordination with other departments in the company and the parent company.
Provide value-added customer service for the FEC through proactive communication and customer resolution. Interface between external customers and internal business partners to include Operations, Commercial and Technology. Provide quality and timely service to FEC customers.
Ensure response to inquiries about FEC services and other general questions are being handled effectively. Ensures systemic issues are researched and corrective actions are put in place to avoid future recurrence. Proactively communicates service modifications, operating plan changes, and major service disruptions to appropriate FEC customers. Support opportunities for Sales Leads within customer service and promote new service offerings.
Under the direction and supervision of a Track Supervisor, Welder, or other assigned employee, the Welder Helper provides assistance to the Welder while engaging in the maintenance, repair, and construction of track with a “safety first” focus.
Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the company’s Diesel Fleet trucks.
SUMMARY
Groundman are responsible for directing crane operators who are loading and unloading cargo containers from railcar.
Contribute to the marketing analysis efforts. Maintenance and improvement of the operating cost model used by the Marketing Intelligence team to perform the pricing process of FEC. Prepare periodic commercial budgets and monthly projections. Responsible for commercial reporting; statistics close outs, monthly presentations. Contribute actively in the project valuation gathering relevant internal information from different departments: Operations, Commercial, Finance, etc.
Under the supervision and direction of a Track Supervisor, Foreman, or other assigned employee, the Trackman will perform various track maintenance, repair, and construction duties with a “safety first” focus.
Under the direction of a Track Supervisor, or other company official, this position is engaged in welding and related tasks that support the maintenance, repair, and construction of freight and passenger railroad track with a “safety first” focus.
This position is accountable for all transportation related activities in the middle Florida district. Responsibilities include selection, hiring, training and development of new contract and management employees. Position reposts directly to VP of Transportation. Works closely with other operating departments to ensure joint goals are met. Example: track maintenance, locomotive service and repair and customer service.

Place cars to facilitate loading and unloading and the makeup and breakdown on trains in a rail yard, industrial plant, or similar location. Start date scheduled for April 1, 2024. Paid training will commence in New Smyrna Beach, Florida for three (3) weeks; thereafter, new hire Conductors will return to their home terminal for on-the-job training in all levels of Conductor service (Yard, Local, Through Freight).

Consists of maintaining, repairing, rebuilding, inspecting, and installing all wiring of generators, switchboards, meters, motors and controls, rheostats and controls, motor generators, electric headlights, headlight turbo-generators, electric welding machines, storage batteries, axle lighting equipment, all inside telegraph and telephone equipment, electric clocks and electric lighting fixtures, electric cables, and electric tractors and trucks; winding armatures, fields, magnet coils, motors, transformers, and starting compensators; inside and outside wiring at shops, buildings, yards, and on structures and all conduit work in connection therewith, including electric locomotives, motor cars, cable splicing, high-tension power house and substation operation, and maintenance of pole lines and supports for service wires and cables, overhead and underground, together with their supports; maintaining, inspecting, and installing third rail and cables for third rails that carry current to or from third rail and track rail and pipe lines or conduits for these cables; all outside wiring in yards; generator attendants; motor (not including water service and oil fuel station motors) and substation attendants who start, stop, oil, and keep their equipment clean and change and adjust brushes for the proper running of their equipment; power switchboard operators; and all other work generally recognized as electricians' work in the mechanical department.

Under the supervision and direction of a Track Supervisor, Foreman, or other assigned employee, the Trackman will perform various track maintenance, repair, and construction duties with a “safety first” focus.
Under the supervision and direction of a Track Supervisor, or other assigned employee, the Machine Operator will utilize assigned equipment in the company fleet in order to support the maintenance, repair, and construction of tracks and right of way with a “safety first” focus.
