The Site Support Engineer provides IT support to North Florida’s data center operations within Florida East Coast Railway.
This is a technical position. The position provides local 2nd level support in the data center and performs vendor management by coordinating with vendors (3rd level support) to resolve incidents and problems from monitoring tools, dashboards, and automated system alerts to escalate issues to the different teams (Help desk, Network Operations Center, Data Center Operators, etc.).
This position will know the physical Datacenter infrastructure like Racks & Blade Servers, Storage & Backup devices (VTL, LTO Tapes), Network Switches connections, redundancy (Teaming, Multipath, administration consoles from vendors (Dell-iDrac, HP-E-iLO).
The position requires assistance in case of incidents in the data center assets 24x7 using remote access or attending on-site.
