Primary Manager of Maintenance of Locomotives and Facilities at Bowden Locomotive Shop. Manages initiatives in new technology and equipment to support mechanical operations.
The Director of Equipment will assist with the coordination of repair and maintenance of all roadway maintenance machines and maintenance of way vehicles. Create and maintain a database of roadway equipment parts, repairs, cost of operation and production. Train and observe equipment operators and mechanics for safe and proper operating procedures, maintenance, repairs and preventive maintenance, including production tampers, excavators, backhoes, power tools and other roadway equipment. The position will require extensive travel along with weekend and after hours work on a regular basis. This will be a “hands on” working supervisory position to include relieving mechanics on vacations or at various times as needed.
Inspects, maintains, and repairs locomotives in accordance with FRA regulations.
3rd Shift (11pm - 7am) Days off Sunday/Monday
Initial pay between $26.50/hr - $29.81/hr based off experience. Salary will increase to $33.12/hr once qualified (typically takes 6 months to a year)

Responsible for the maintenance and procurement of the company’s train control electronic systems, computer aided dispatch centers, data network infrastructure and wireless communications network.
